Belarus welcomes CIS Plus initiative

Belarus welcomes the initiative to create a CIS Plus format as a new platform for multilateral cooperation with international partners, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a meeting with the heads of government delegations taking part in the sessions of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the CIS Heads of Government Council in Minsk on 30 September, BelTA has learned.

"Belarus welcomes the initiative by our Kazakh colleagues to create CIS Plus as a new platform for multilateral cooperation between the CIS member states and international partners,” the head of state noted.

Speaking broadly about the international activities of the two integration associations, Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized the need to work consistently,  at the highest level, on creating a favorable environment for promoting EAEU and CIS products to external markets.
