Al-Aaraji: Iraq’s Position is Firm in Rejecting the Use of Its Territory to Attack Neighboring Countries

Baghdad / NINA /- The National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Aaraji affirmed that Iraq’s stance is clear and unwavering in rejecting the use of its land or airspace as a launching point for attacks against neighboring countries, stressing the government’s commitment to safeguarding Iraqi sovereignty and maintaining regional security.
A statement from his media office said that Al-Aaraji received, on Tuesday, the Head of Military Intelligence of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Majid Mir Ahmadi, and his accompanying delegation.
The statement added that the meeting discussed regional security challenges and threats, as well as issues of mutual concern. It also reviewed the measures taken by both countries to enhance security and stability within the framework of good-neighborly relations and the security agreement signed between Baghdad and Tehran.
The statement further noted that Iraq had submitted an official complaint to the UN Security Council against the Israeli entity for using Iraqi airspace in its attack on Iran, reiterating that the government, under Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, will take all necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such violations./ End
