Kyrgyzstan and Kuwait aim to expand investment partnership

Bishkek, Oct. 3, 2025. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the State of Kuwait, Nurlan Tokobaev, met on September 29 with Abdullah Hamad Al-Terkeit, Chairman of the Board of the Kuwait Union of Investment Companies (UIC).
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the conversation, the parties discussed Kyrgyzstan's investment potential, prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation, and issues of enhancing interaction between the private sectors of the two countries.
Agricultural production, the green economy, tourism, mining, and information technology were identified as priority areas for partnership. Additionally, opportunities for developing Islamic financial instruments, implementing educational programs, and organizing internships for entrepreneurs were discussed.
The parties expressed support for initiatives to draft a memorandum of understanding, hold online meetings with business circles, and invite a Kuwaiti investment delegation to Kyrgyzstan.
Following the meeting, a shared commitment to take cooperation to the next level and implement joint projects was confirmed.
