There are 39 people over 100 years old living in Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan

Jalal-Abad, Oct. 3, 2025. / Kabar/. There are currently 39 centenarians in the Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan, who are over 100 years old. The oldest of these is Burma Subankulova, a resident of the village of Bai-Munduz in the Bazar-Korgon district, born in 1907, who turned 118 this year.

Urmat Samayev, governor of the region, attended an event held at the general social hospital for the elderly and disabled in the Suzak district, where he congratulated the residents on the International Day of Older Persons.

In his congratulatory speech, he wished the elderly good health, peace, and a long life, noting that it is the duty of every younger generation to honor and respect their elders not only on October 1st, but always.

As part of the celebration, Urmat Samayev visited the home of 103-year-old Kunduzkhan Tashmatova, a resident of the Suzak district, and congratulated her on the International Day of Older Persons.
