Iran's Beit Sayah wins gold in World Para-Athletics Championships

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s national para-track and field athlete, Sadegh Beit Sayah, has won the gold medal at the World Championships in India.
Beit Sayah competed in the F41 class javelin throw and came first with a record of 48.86 meters and won the gold medal on the last day of the 12th edition of the event held in New Delhi, on Sunday.
With this medal, he brought the number of colorful medals won by the Iranian contingent in the competitions to 15.
Mehran Nikoee Majd, Yasin Khosravi, Ali Baziar, Seyed Ali Asghar Javanmardi, Hassan Bajolvand, Amir Hossein Alipour, Elham Salehi, and Saeed Afrooz are other Iranian athletes who won the gold medals in India, while Mehdi Olad and Hajar Safarzadeh won the bronze medals.
Erfan Bandari, Amanollah Papi, Elham Salehi, and Zeinab Moradi also won the silver in the event.
The 2025 World Para Athletics Championships ended in a ceremony on Sunday evening, with Beit Sayah leading the Iranian contingent and holding the national flag.
