Kyrgyz National wrestling team departs for 2nd World Games

Bishkek, Oct. 9, 2025. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz National wrestling team departed to participate in the 2nd World Games in National Wrestling Styles, which are being held in the Chuvash Republic.

According to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, the athletes were seen off by Ulukbek Omurbekov, Acting Director of the Directorate for National Sports under the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, as well as representatives of the directorate and the federation.

The games kicked off on October 5 and will run until October 12. The program includes 17 sports, including Kyrgyz wrestling, a traditional sport of the Kyrgyz people.

Kyrgyz wrestling competitions are held in six weight categories, with more than 100 wrestlers from 20 countries participating.

The Kyrgyz Republic National Team:

Tolubay Shukurov – 60 kg;

Arlen Estebesov – 66 kg;

Nazarbek Kosmosbek uulu – 72 kg;

Myktybek Omurzak uulu – 84 kg;

Azizkhan Musabek uulu – 90 kg;

Baktiyar Mirlan uulu – over 90 kg.
