Indian President receives Saudi Ambassador
New Delhi, July 15 , SPA -- Indian President Pratibha Patil has
received Saudi Ambassador to India Faisal bin Hassan Ahmad Trad who
submitted his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to India.
During the meeting, the Indian President expressed thanks to and
appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah
bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the efforts exerted by the Kingdom in the
fields of counter-terrorism and pro-dialogue of civilizations, saying
that her country attaches special hopes to enhance political and
economic relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In turn, Ambassador Trad thanked the Indian President for her noble
feelings, and conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Sultan
bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and
Aviation and Inspector General to the Indian President.
He also stressed that the Kingdom is keen on increasing cooperation
with India in various fields of common interest.
