Days of Russian culture begins in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Oct. 30, 2025 /Kabar/. One of the key events within the framework of Days of Russian Culture in Kyrgyz Republic took place at the Manas cinema in Bishkek on October 29, 2025. The event was attended by the Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mirbek Mambetaliev, and the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Olga Lyubimova.

Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova noted that the development of Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation in the field of culture and cinematography is strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries. The achieved level of cooperation, the historical friendship of our peoples, as well as the joint work of the relevant cultural departments, allows us to successfully implement vibrant bilateral projects, including traditional cultural exchange days and film festivals, said Lyubimova.

Kyrgyz Minister of Culture noted that today's festival confirms that cinematic art remains one of the most powerful bridges of friendship and mutual understanding between our peoples. Mirbek Mambetaliev expressed gratitude to the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Olga Lyubimova, for her support of the project.

He recalled that the history of Kyrgyz cinematography is inextricably linked with the Russian school of film. Many outstanding directors and screenwriters from Kyrgyzstan studied at All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography and worked at Mosfilm and Lenfilm studios.

Solemn opening ceremony of Days of Russian Culture in Kyrgyz Republic was held at the Toktogul Satylganov Kyrgyz National Philharmonic Hall, marking an important step in strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Federation.
