MARRIOTT, RITZ HOTELS UNDER POLICE PROTECTION

Jakarta, July 17 (ANTARA) - The National Police have deployed an investigation team to safeguard the locations of two bomb explosions at the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels on Friday morning.

"Police investigators from the National and Jakarta Police have been deployed in the locations to safeguard and to conduct site investigations," Jakarta Police spokesman Senior Commissioner Chysnanda said on Friday.

Two strong bomb blasts occurred at the two hotels at 7.45 am on Friday, killing at least nine people and injuring 52 others.
