PRESIDENT OF FILA HOLDS PRESS CONFERENCE
Baku, July 17 (AzerTAc). Visiting President of International Wrestling Federation Association (FILA) Raphael Martinetti held Thursday a press conference.
He said the Gold Grand Prix tournament dedicated to memory of the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev is ranked third for its status behind European and world championships.
Martinetti also highly praised the activity of Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation.
He also added “FILA made a right decision to name Rovshan Bayramov the best wrestler of the year”.
After the press conference, the president of FILA visited Alley of Honors to pay respect to Azerbaijan`s nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and laid a wreath at his tomb.
He also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
