LORD MAYOR OF LONDON TO VISIT BAKU
Baku, July 17 (AzerTAc). As part of the visit to the region on July 18-22, Alderman Ian Luder, Lord Mayor of the City of London and head of the City of London Corporation, will arrive in Baku, British Embassy said.
He will be accompanied by representatives from 14 leading finance companies.
During the visit, Alderman Ian Luder will meet with officials and heads of leading local banks.
He said his visit to Baku would contribute to boosting cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom in non-oil sector.
According to him, “the City of London is a gateway to Europe and beyond. We want to work more closely with Azerbaijan. We have strength in Banking, Asset Management, Insurance, Public Private Partnership (PPP), Maritime, Legal and Business services. The City is internationally owned, managed and staffed; many firms utilize London as a gateway to Europe and beyond; we welcome companies from Azerbaijan to London”.
