New Houses Built in North and South Phyongan Provinces

 Pyongyang, December 4 (KCNA) -- New villages have been built at the Chongok Farm and the Jasan Farm in Phyongsong City of South Phyongan Province and the Phyongmun Farm and the Taean Farm in Taegwan County of North Phyongan Province, the DPRK, demonstrating clearly the development of the socialist countryside which is undergoing a dramatic change.
Modern dwelling houses furnished with conditions for convenience of the residents' life while preserving well the characteristics peculiar to the countryside tell of the love of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Ceremonies of moving into new houses were held on the spots amid the overflowing joy of agricultural workers who would move into the new homes of happiness.
Present there were Ri Kyong Chol, chief secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the WPK, Ri Song Bom, chairman of the South Phyongan Provincial People's Committee, officials of the Party and power organs in North Phyongan Province, Phyongsong City and Taegwan County, builders and farmers. Congratulatory addresses were made there and licenses for the use of houses were handed over to be followed by speeches.
As art performances and dancing parties were given to congratulate house-moving events, farm villages were in a festive mood and officials visited the families of the agricultural workers who moved into the new houses to congratulate them. -0-
