Bishkek, Dec.12, 2025. /Kabar/. Today in Bishkek, on National Literature Day and Chyngyz Aitmatov's birthday, more than 100 volunteers from the ANO "Eurasia" honored the writer's memory and laid flowers at his monument.
According to the organization, the event symbolized respect for the outstanding legacy of the writer, whose work had a profound impact on Kyrgyzstan's cultural identity and continues to resonate with readers worldwide.
Participants observed a moment of silence in Chyngyz Aitmatov's memory and emphasized the significance of his contribution to the development of world literature.
As project coordinator Kanykey Tashmamatova noted, such initiatives play important role in educating young people and fostering a respectful attitude toward cultural heritage.
"This commemorative date serves as a reminder of the need to respect national cultural traditions, as well as the importance of the younger generation remembering and honoring those who made a significant contribution to shaping the spiritual and cultural image of the country," she said.
