Turkic-speaking countries sign agreement to develop animated content

Bishkek, Dec. 12, 2025. /Kabar/. On December 7-10, the Department of Cinematography, the T. Okeev Kyrgyzfilm National Film Studio, the Kyrgyztasmasi State Institution, and the founders of the Karek Children's Film Fund successfully participated in the Baku Cinema Breeze International Film Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan, and actively participated in a number of important events.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy, on December 8-9, the Orient Market film market was held as part of the festival, where production companies were given ample opportunities to showcase their capabilities, technical base, previously implemented projects, and get acquainted with new filming locations.
The film market became an open platform for young and emerging filmmakers to establish direct contact with world-class professionals. During the event, panel discussions were organized on mechanisms for developing joint projects. Negotiations were also held on the screening of Kyrgyz films on local Azerbaijani cinema streaming platforms.
In addition, on December 9, as part of the Creative Week, representatives of the animation industry of Turkic-speaking countries signed an agreement aimed at developing joint animation content with the support of TURKSOY and the Turkish Animation Association (ATA).
The agreement aims to create a unified interaction system for the development of high-quality animation projects that support Turkic languages and cultures.
The parties noted the need to annually produce large-scale animation content aimed at children. During the festival, Aibek Dayirbekov made a special report on the current state, past stages and development directions of the animation industry in Kyrgyzstan.
On December 10, “Kyrgyz Cinema Days” were held at the Nizami Cinema Center in Baku as part of the festival. A number of films produced by the “Kyrgyzfilm” film studio were presented to the audience at the event, contributing to the strengthening of cultural and professional ties between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.
