Coffee, the Masenqo Highlight Ethiopian Cultural Heritage at 'Global Harmony 2'

Riyadh, December 12, 2025, SPA -- The Ministry of Media continued to spotlight Ethiopian culture as part of the activities of the "Global Harmony 2" initiative, organized by the ministry in cooperation with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and the Quality of Life Program at Al-Suwadi Park, one of the Riyadh Season 2025 zones.
Thousands of visitors from various nationalities enjoyed folk melodies and songs reflecting the depth and diversity of Ethiopian culture, as several singers performed, accompanied by drums, brass, and traditional string instruments, including the "Masenqo," which is regarded as a cultural symbol in Ethiopia.
The event also showcased a range of authentic Ethiopian traditions, including hospitality, holiday celebrations, and traditional attire.
Visitors were introduced to several Ethiopian products, most notably coffee, and learned about its preparation—from roasting and grinding to brewing and serving—during calm, conversational gatherings that reflected the authenticity and warmth of Ethiopian culture.
The ministry will conclude the Ethiopian Culture Days tomorrow as part of "Global Harmony 2," featuring a select group of artists and influencers, alongside a diverse array of accompanying cultural activities that enhance the visitor experience and provide broader opportunities to explore various aspects of Ethiopian culture.
