Kyrgyzstan initiated peacebuilding dialogue at UN

Bishkek, Dec. 16, 2025. /Kabar/. The meeting of the UN Peacebuilding Commission was held in New York at the initiative of Kyrgyzstan.

As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting was held under the chairmanship of Germany, and the achievements of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in peacefully resolving border issues within the framework of international law were highly appreciated.

Asein Isaev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, noted that the Central Asian region has proven that even the most complex and historical issues can be successfully resolved through dialogue, mutual trust and political will. Representatives of more than 80 UN member states attended the meeting of the commission, who noted the agreements reached as an example of the political will and diplomatic maturity of the heads of state.

Asein Isaev also participated in the UN Security Council meeting on the topic "Leadership for Peace", confirming Kyrgyzstan's firm commitment to promoting peace, stability and dialogue.
