Bishkek, Dec. 16, 2025 /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov signed the Decree "On the establishment of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Arab Republic of Egypt."
According to the Decree, in order to ensure the further development of political, trade, economic, scientific, technical, and cultural ties between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Arab Republic of Egypt, and in accordance with paragraph 10 of Article 4 of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the interaction of state bodies in foreign policy of the Kyrgyz Republic" and Part 2 of Article 5 of the law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the diplomatic service of the Kyrgyz Republic," it is decreed:
To establish Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Arab Republic of Egypt, based in Cairo.
To the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic:
1) To increase the maximum staffing level of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic by 5 positions;
2) resolve issues related to the organizational and financial support for the activities of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Arab Republic of Egypt;
3) align its decisions with this Decree.
Implementation of this Decree shall be entrusted to the presidential administration. This Decree is subject to official publication and shall enter into force on January 1, 2026.
This Decree was adopted to intensify and deepen political, trade, economic, investment, scientific, technical, educational, cultural, and humanitarian ties between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as to provide consular services to approximately 3,000 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic located in Egypt and neighboring North African countries.
The opening of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Arab Republic of Egypt contributes to the implementation of the country's foreign policy on the African continent, the diversification of foreign relations, and the expansion of the geographic reach of its diplomatic presence.
