Kyrgyzstan joins TRACECA

Bishkek, Dec.16, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has joined the multilateral permit system for the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor (TRACECA).

According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, all necessary procedures for joining have been completed. TRACECA permit gives the carrier the right to freely register through the territory of all states participating in the system, exempting it from separate bilateral agreements. TRACECA permit is intended for single use and allows for direct and return journeys with or without cargo within one round trip. The number of entries and exits to any country participating in the system should not exceed two.

This permit is universal and can be used for bilateral, transit, as well as transportation to/from third countries, and their combined types.

From now on, international road carriers of Kyrgyzstan will have additional opportunities to carry out transit, bilateral, as well as cargo transportation to Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine using a single multilateral TRACECA permit.

This will create favorable conditions for international carriers of Kyrgyzstan, facilitate the access of Kyrgyz goods to the markets of Europe, Turkey and the Black Sea region, and increase the competitiveness of exports by reducing transportation costs and delivery times.
