Kyrgyzstan, Turkiye discuss joint film projects in Ankara

Bishkek, Dec. 22, 2025 /Kabar/. As part of the Turkic States Forum on Combating Disinformation held in Ankara, Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Marat Tagaev made official visit to the Cinematography department of Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, where he met with Director General Birol Güven.

According to the Ministry of Culture, the parties exchanged views on current issues related to developing cooperation in cinematography, discussed prospects for joint film projects, and discussed promoting the cultural and historical heritage of Turkic peoples through audiovisual content. Particular attention was paid to the role of the film industry in fostering a positive information space, strengthening humanitarian ties, and countering the challenges of disinformation in the modern world.

The parties agreed to continue holding Kyrgyz Cinema Days in Turkiye and Turkish Cinema Days in Kyrgyzstan.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in further deepening cooperation between the relevant agencies of the two countries and expanding practical collaboration.
