New market for Kyrgyzstan: EAEU and Indonesia agree on free trade

Bishkek, Dec. 24, 2025. /Kabar/. Within the framework of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council held on December 21, the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union and Indonesia signed an agreement on free trade, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce reports.

The conclusion of preferential trade agreement with Indonesia opens up significant opportunities for increasing exports and improving access to the Indonesian market, which will contribute to the economic growth of Kyrgyzstan.

As a result of the negotiations, Kyrgyzstan received the opportunity to export its goods to the Indonesian market on preferential terms. The list of goods that received preferential treatment included:

Agricultural products: meat (beef, lamb), fish, dairy products, vegetables and fruits.

Beverages: mineral waters and juices.

Industrial goods: clothing (light industry), household appliances and electrical appliances.

This opens up new prospects for domestic manufacturers, allowing them to increase exports and enter the dynamically developing Indonesian market.

In addition, Indonesia reduced the average level of customs duties on Kyrgyz goods by 11 percent, and duty rates on some items were completely abolished. This significantly increases the competitiveness of domestic goods in the market.
