Sadyr Zhaparov reminds about Kairylman program for ethnic Kyrgyz living abroad

Bishkek, Dec. 26, 2025. /Kabar/. During the 4th People's Kurultai, President Sadyr Zhaparov responded to Aibek uulu Taalaibek, a delegate from Osh, regarding 1.5 million ethnic Kyrgyz living abroad.

The head of state noted that significant number of ethnic Kyrgyz live in China, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and other countries.

"We are ready to receive them. Let them come. We have Kairylman program. Under this program, visitors are granted Kairylman status for one year, after which they receive citizenship," the president stated.

Reference: Kairylman program is being implemented in Kyrgyzstan with the goal of returning and integrating ethnic Kyrgyz living abroad. Under this program, compatriots are granted simplified entry procedures, temporary legal status, and the opportunity to obtain Kyrgyz citizenship. The program aims to strengthen the country's demographic potential and preserve national identity.
