VOLUME OF CARGO HANDLING INCREASED IN SEA TRANSPORTATION
Baku, July 20 (AzerTAc). Cargo transportation by Sea transport increased by 11,3 percent to 6,4 million tons in Jan-June , 2009, Stat Statistical Committee reported.
Oil products constituted 73% of cargo, while 27% dry cargo.
All cargo transportations are International. Cargo turnover increased by 5,9 % to 3 billion 149,1 million tons-km.
Cargo Handling Operation in the Baku International Trade Seaport reached 2,5 million tones.
