MILLI MAJLIS FIRST VICE-SPEAKER MEETS HEAD OF ISRAEL-AZERBAIJAN PARLIAMENTARY FRIENDSHIP GROUP
Baku, July 22 (AzerTAc). First deputy chair of Azerbaijan`s Parliament, the Milli Majlis, Ziyafat Asgarov met with head of Israel-Azerbaijan parliamentary friendship group Robert Ilatov.
Asgarov praised the relations between Azerbaijan and Israel.
“Israeli president Shimon Peres` recent visit to Azerbaijan boosted the relations between our countries.”
“Documents signed during this visit have laid good grounds for further cooperation between the two states,” he added.
Ilatov said “there are good opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel in various fields, in particular political and economic ones.”
He noted Israel is ready to assist Azerbaijan in “developing any field”.
They also exchanged views on prospects for developing interparliamentary cooperation.
