CAPACITY OF AZERBAIJAN`S UNDERGROUND GAS STOREHOUSES MORE THAN ONE BILLION CUBIC METERS, PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV

Baku, July 23 (AzerTAc). The capacity of Azerbaijan`s underground gas storehouses is more than one billion cubic meters, said President Ilham Aliyev at the Cabinet’s meeting on the country`s socio-economic achievements in the first half of 2009. “It allows us to create enough reserves in the summer months. But our goal is to increase the capacity of gas storehouses up to 3-5 billion cubic meters averagely. In this case, Azerbaijan, as a gas exporter, will increase its significance ten times”, he added.
