Success of Operating Interconnection Electricity Networks in GCC

Dammam, July 26, SPA -- The effective simultaneous operation of the
first phase of the Integrated Electricity Grid, encompassing four
states of The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), was successfully
implemented today.

The states include Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait.

The Chairman of Board of Directors of GCC Electricity
Interconnection Authority and Representative of Qatar Eng. Yosef bin
Ahmed Janahi pointed out that the first phase of electricity
interconnection project has been completed effectively following the
success of this operation.
