TWO SWINE FLU SUSPECTS ADMITTED TO SARDJITO HOSPITAL

Yogyakarta, Indonesia, July 27 (ANTARA) - Dr Sardjito General Hospital in Yogyakarta has received two more swine flu suspects, identified by their initials as N and I.

"N and I were admitted to the hospital on Sunday evening after their condition was detected at Adisucipto airport," hospital spokesman Trisna Heru Nugraha said here on Monday.

He said the two swine flu suspects arrived in Yogyakarta from Thailand on Sunday.

"At the airport, they were found to have a high body temperature and therefore they were referred Dr Sardjito General Hospital for further treatment," Trisna said.

He said that with the admission of N and I, the hospital has so far treated 25 swine flu suspects, three of them had tested H1N1 positive.

"We hope the swine flu patients who have been discharged from the hospital will remain alert and stay at home until they have fully recovered," Trisna said.

In addition to the hospital in Yogyakarta, hospitals in Central Kalimantan and North Sumatra also received swine flu suspects almost at the same time.

At 10 on Sunday night, three United States citizens suspected of suffereing from type-A influenza (H1N1) or swine flue were admitted to Dr Murjani Sampit General Hospital in East Kotawaringin district, Central Kalimantan.

"Last night, at about 10.00 pm, the three swine-flu suspects arrived here from the Sultan Imanudin hospital in Pangkalan Bun, West Kotawaringin district," Ratna Yuniarti, director of Dr Murjani Sampit General Hospital said in Sampit on Monday.

She said the three suspects were identified by their initials as D, A, and M from Kansas, the United States.

While the Adam Malik General Hospital in Medan, North Sumatra, on Monday also received two people, suspected to have been infected with influenza type A (H1N1).

The hospital spokesman Atma Wijaya said the two patients, identified by their initials as D (29) and Y (28), had just arrived at Polonia airport from Thailand and Malaysia. ***
