UAE donates 45 tonnes of palm dates to Jordan
Amman - July 28, 2009 (WAM) - The UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) has offered 45 tonnes of palm dates to Jordan under the UAE President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's dates aid programme to sisterly and friendly countries. First consignment of the dates was delivered to the Jordanian Red Crescent officials in Amman in the presence of UAE Diplomatic Attaché in Jordan Abdullah Al Ketbi.
Usually offered before the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, the food grant will be distributed to underprivileged Jordanian families and Palestinians at refugee camps. Charity organisations will also receive their share from the grant.
