PTBA`S H1 NET PROFIT UP 124 PCT
Jakarta, July 28 (ANTARA) - Publicly-listed coal mining company PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) said its net profit in the first half of 2009 jumped 124 percent to Rp1.592 trillion from the same period a year earlier.
Gross profit rose to Rp2.675 trillion from Rp1.358 trillion thanks to a 55 percent surge in sales to Rp4.5 trillion in the first half of 2009 from Rp2.88 trillion in the same period last year, according to the company's financial statement published on Tuesday.
The surge in net profit raised earning per share to Rp691 from Rp308 previously.
