Saudi Popular Campaign gives tangible relief aid to Pak
Riyadh, July 29, SPA -- The Saudi Popular Campaign for Assistance to
victims of the 2005-Earthquake in Pakistan has issued a report on its
efforts, activities and projects provided to lessen sufferings of the
people inflicted by the quake.
The earth quake hit the northern areas of Pakistan in October 2005
with a strength, measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale. It resulted into
the killing and displacing of more than a million people.
The report highlights the noble image and the position of the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's under the leadership of the Custodian of
the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown
Prince and Second Deputy Premier in combating poverty and assisting
the needy and inflicted people all over the world.
The report pointed to the people's contributions in all regions of
the Kingdom in response to the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the relief of the
victims of the earthquake, noting that the total contributions stood
at SR 350 million.
