Saudi Popular Campaign gives tangible relief aid to Pak
In implementation of the directives of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz,
Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior, and General Supervisor
of the Campaign, the Report said the Campaign has executed a project
of distributing 4, 875 tons of wheat in cooperation with U.N. World
Food Program, benefiting more than 270,000 people in the
quake-affected areas.
The report also disclosed the additional allocation of SR150
million to provide housing for victims of the earthquake.
It stated that the campaign sent two planes loaded with 140 tons
of relief materials and emergency medical supplies as well as 141
containers of relief materials.
The report noted that the cost of relief materials amounted to SR
37,088,479 that were shipped to the Campaign warehouses in Pakistan.
It also pinpointed to the dispatch of 1,295 trucks loaded with relief
materials that have been distributed to the afflicted people of the
earthquake.
