FIRST LADY DEDICATES PROSPEROUS VILLAGE IN SUKABUMI
Sukabumi, July 29 (ANTARA) - First Lady Ani Yudhoyono dedicated a prosperous village pilot project at Cisarua village in Sukabumi, West Java, on Wednesday.
The prosperous village pilot project in Cisarua, established by the United Indonesia Cabinet Ministers' Wives Solidarity (SIKIB), is the synergy of the SIKIB's five basic programs in Indonesia, namely Healthy Indonesia, Smart Indonesia, Creative Indonesia, Concern Indonesia, and Green Indonesia.
It is in the densely-populated village in Sukabumi that the SIKIB had built a smart house, sanitation facilities, planted 250 trees, and given a motorcycle as health service facility for the local people.
The 80-square-meter smart house, also dedicated by the first lady on Wednesday, was built on a 160-meter plot of land at the total cost of Rp80 million.
In her address, the first lady expressed hope that the local people could make use of the smart house to improve their knowledge and educational quality.
Equipped with library, audio visual, and computers, the smart house can also be function as the center of skills and handicrafts product from teenagers and home makers.
Similar project of prosperous village will also be developed by the SIKIB in East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, South Halmahera, and Papua.
After dedicating the prosperous village, the first lady and her entourage made their way to Salabintana, also in Sukabumi, to witness cat fish harvest.
On the occasion, First Lady Ani Yudhoyono also conveyed a message from President Susilo Bambang Yudhohono to the people of Sukabumi.
Through the first lady, the president called on all people to support the elected president and vice president in the recent presidential election.
"Yudhoyono's message is that the people should support the next president and vice president, whoever they are," Ani Yudhoyono said, adding that the president also asked the people to be thankful for the general election which has proceeded safely, peacefully, orderly, and successfully.
To the local people and officials, Ani Yudhoyono conveyed President Yudhoyono's warm greetings.
