KOREAN AMBASSADOR VISITS GAKH REGION OF AZERBAIJAN
Gakh, 30 July (AzerTAc). Korean Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lyu Kvang –Chil has paid a two-day trip to Gakh region, 400 km northwest of Baku.
On the first day the diplomat paid tribute to Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev by laying fresh flowers at his monument.
Kvang-Chil also visited the Heydar Aliyev museum which contains photos reflecting during periods of the national leader`s life and career.
The Korean ambassador then met Gakh`s Governor Mubariz Ahmadzadeh, and they praised the current level of the Azerbaijan-Korea relations. They noted the role of the two countries` leaders in advancing the bilateral cooperation.
Ahmadzadeh raised awareness of the Korean diplomat on cultural, economic and tourism potential of the region. He pointed out that Gakh has enjoyed the increase in the number of foreign tourists in recent years.
The ambassador hailed the nature and tourism potential of the region.
Kvang-Chil said his country is keen on implementing projects in the fields of agriculture, vine-growing, fruit-growing and tourism in all regions of Azerbaijan, including Gakh.
The Korean ambassador and Gakh Governor exchanged keepsakes.
The last day of the trip saw the ambassador visit must-see places of the region, including Sumug Gala monument and Uludag tourism and resort complex in Ilisu State Historical and Cultural Preserve.
