POLICE SEEKING CREATOR OF BLOG ON TERRORISM

Jakarta, July 31 (ANTARA) - The Indonesian police are seeking the creator of a blog telling about the party responsible for the recent luxury hotel bombings in Jakarta.

"We are still trying to find who has created the blog and also who has loaded the statement," the national police's head of public relations division, Inspector General Nanan Soekarna, here on Thursday.

He said based on the police's findings so far the blog used a provider in the US but it was not impossible that the process of loading the data including spreading the statement was done in Indonesia.

"The police cyber crime unit is still tracing it. We believed the unit will be able to unveil it," he said.

In the private web "www.mediaislam-bushro-blogspot.com" one who claims as "tandzin Al Qo-idah Indonesia" states that the bombings at the two hotels in Jakarta were carried out by one of his members he called "ikhwah mujahidin."
The blog also states that the target of the bombings was foreigners holding business meetings in the hotels.

According to it the bombings were a revenge against what the US had done on Moslems across the world.

The bombings were aimed for a lesson for Moslems that had invited British football club Manchester United to the hotel, it said.

The blog also said that the leader of the Tandzin Al Qo-idah Indonesia is Abu Mu'awwidz Nur Din bin Muhammad Top.

The police Cyber Crime Unit once uncovered terrorism threats spread through www.anshar.net in 2006 in Semarang followed by the arrest of Muhammad Agung Prabowo alias Max Fiderman and Agung Seyiadi alias Pak Ne.

Agung was the creator of the blog that carried calls to conduct bombings and he had also used the blog to procure a laptop using others' credit cards illegally.

The laptop later was handed over to late Imam Samudra then jailed at Kerobokan in Bali for bombings in Bali.

Agung had asked for the help of prison ward Beny Irawan to handover the laptop to Samudra.
