MOROCCAN THRONE DAY MARKED IN AZERBAIJAN

Baku, July 31 (AzerTAc). The Moroccan embassy to Azerbaijan has hosted a celebrative event to mark the country`s Throne Day. The event was attended by Azerbaijani officials and representatives of diplomatic corps and International organizations.
Speaking at the event, ambassador Hassan Hami informed the participants about the history of the holiday.
The ambassador also spoke of the Azerbaijan-Morocco relations, saying they were developing “in various fields, in particular the political, economic and cultural ones”.
“I hope our countries will continue efforts towards strengthening the relations both in the bilateral format and within international organizations.”
“We are going to sign several agreements envisaging implementation of twenty joint projects.
Ali Abbasov, Azerbaijani Minister of Information and Communication Technologies, congratulated the Moroccan people on behalf of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
The minister touched upon the Azerbaijani-Moroccan relations, expressing hope they would be further “developed and strengthened”.
The Throne Day or Sete de Throne July 30 (1999) is an annual holiday to commemorate the anniversary of King Muḥammad’s assumption of power.
