BMI AIRLINE CORRECTS ERRORS RELATED TO AZERBAIJAN TERRITORY

Baku, 31 July (AzerTAc). Bmi, the second largest airline at London Heathrow, has corrected the error on its website`s online map concerning Azerbaijan.
Earlier, the company failed to show on its map the Azerbaijani exclave Nakhchivan. Also Azerbaijan was placed under the category “Asia”, whilst considering Georgia and Armenia to be “Europe”.
After citizens of Azerbaijan sent letters to the BMI letting the company know about the error, errors were corrected so that Azerbaijan together with other two southern-Caucasian states was included in category “Europe”, and Nakhchivan was marked within the borders of Azerbaijan (see http://www.flybmi.com/bmi/en-gb/flight-and-airport-info/destination-guides/europe-azerbaijan.aspx).
Also it is expected that the company will change the logbook Voyager as the administrative borders of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan are marked with state borders, creating the wrong impression as if Nagorno-Karabakh is an independent state.
