SWISS EMBASSY IN BAKU HOSTS FUNCTION TO MARK COUNTRY`S NATIONAL DAY
Baku, July 31 (AzerTAc). The Embassy of Switzerland in Azerbaijan has organized today an official reception to mark the country`s National Day.
Ambassador Alain Guidetti briefed the participants on relationship between Switzerland and Azerbaijan.
He said reciprocal visits by the two countries` officials contribute to boosting bilateral ties. The ambassador also noted Azerbaijan had a rich culture.
Attending the event, Azerbaijan`s deputy foreign minister Vagif Sadigov congratulated the Swiss people on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev.
Speaking of political and economic ties between the two countries, Sadigov said Swiss businessmen were taking an active part in carrying out several projects in Azerbaijan.
He said the two countries would continue joint efforts to expand cooperation within international organizations.
The event was attended by officials, ambassadors and others.
