SHAHRIYAR MAMMADYAROV RANKED FIFTH AT FINET OPEN
Baku, August 1 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov took 5th place with 8.5 points among 263 chess players at the “FINet Open” Chess tournament in Mainz (Germany).
International Grand-master Vugar Hashimov (7.5 points) ranked 27th, Sarkhan Hashimov (7 points) 61st, Namig Guliyev (6.5 points) 62nd.
Russian Aleksandr Grishuk became the winner of the tournament.
Gata Kamski (US) and Rustam Kasimjanov (Uzbekistan) shared 2-3 places with 9 points.
