Weak tremors in Harat Al-Shaqah reported

Riyadh, August 06, SPA -- The National Seismic Monitoring Network of
the Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) detected a number of weak earth
tremors in Harat Al-Shaqah, where the maximum tremor was 2.57 on the
Richter Scale.

SGS also said the earth tremors occurred from 12 p.m. on Wednesday
August 05, 2009 to 12 p.m. today, confirming that all the variables
in terms of thermal measurements and concentrations of radon gas,
carbon dioxide, and the widening cracks in the ground are at safe
rates.
