SEMEN GRESIK TO BUILD NEW PLANT IN TUBAN

Tuban, East Java, Aug. 7 (ANTARA) - State cement company PT Semen Gresik is going to build a new plant in Tuban, starting mid August, with a total investment of Rp3.5 trillion.

"We hope the new plant will become operational beginning 2012," PT Semen Gresik President Director Dwi Soetjipto said here on Friday.

The new plant to be developed at Kerek sub district, Tuban, is expected to produce 2.5 million tons of cement annually.

PT Semen Gresik is also to develop a new power plant with a capacity of 2x35 MW in Tonasa, South Sulawesi.
