YUDDY UPBEAT ABOUT SUCCEEDING KALLA AS GOLKAR LEADER

Jakarta, Aug 11 (ANTARA) - Yuddy Chrisnandi, a younger-generation Golkar Party cadre who aspires to become the party's next leader, said he was optimistic he would win the election of a new chairman to replace Jusuf Kalla.

"I represent my own success team when I say that I am optimistic I will win because the members of my success team have high idealism and want to struggle without demanding much in return," Yuddy said here on Tuesday.

He said his success team was made up of the best figures in the Golkar Party.

Yuddy admitted that he and his success team were not as financially wealthy as the other candidates, Aburizal Bakrie and Surya Paloh, but he had a lot of ideas to replace Jusuf Kalla as Golkar chairman.

"We have ideas to bring Golkar back to its glory," Yuddy said, adding that the party needed people who had high idealism to improve the image of the party.
"My success team is made up of 65 members who have high idealism, integrity, spirit of cooperation and solidarity, and are able to restore Golkar's former glory," he said.

Yuddy said Golkar needed a leader from the younger generation who had high idealism.

"If Golkar is not led by young people with high idealism, the party will sooner or later collapse," he said.
