TWO SWINE FLU PATIENTS STILL IN ACEH HOSPITAL

Banda Aceh, Aug 13 (ANTARA)- Two swine flu (H1N1) positive patients are still under intensive treatment at Zainal Abidin General Hospital (RSUZA) in Banda Aceh.

"The two swine flu patients are still under intensive treatment here," Zainal Abidin hospital spokesman dr Taufik Mahdi said here on Thursday.

He said RSUZA is reference hospital for swine flu and bird flu patients that has treated three swine flu positive patients but one of them has got well and been discharged from the hospital.

"There are actually three swine flu positive patients in this hospital but one of them has returned home," Taufik said without mentioning the identity of the patients.

But he said the patient who has been discharged for the hospital was identified by his initial as J (40), a ship crew who arrived at the hospital from Surabaya on August 5, 2009.

While the two other patients who have been at the hospital since two weeks ago are local residents who have just arrived from overseas trip.

"Hopefully they will get well soon," Taufik said, adding that the symptoms of swine flu were similar to other flu and therefore those with such symptoms should immediately have a checkup. ***
