PRESIDENT TO ADDRESS HOUSE ON FRIDAY
Jakarta, Aug 13 (ANTARA) - The House of Representatives (DPR) will convene in plenary on Friday to listen to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's state-of-the-nation address, House Speaker Agung Laksono said here on Thursday.
He said he hoped the head of state would outline the nation's hopes and the challenges it would face in the future. He called on all the people to listen to the president's speech closely "because it is very important."
The DPR plenary session would also be attended by natinal role models, state officials and foreign countries' representatives.
During the plenary meeting political party factions were also scheduled to present their views on the draft 2010 State Budget presented by the president at a special DPR plenary meeting last August 3.
The meeting would also mark the opening of the first House sitting in the 2009-2010 period.***
