PRESIDENT TO PIN LENCANA MELATI ON MINISTERS

Jakarta, Aug 14 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will pin Lencana Melati (medal of dedication) on a number of cabinet ministers and governors for their unselfish services to the development of the Scout Movement and for helping others perform their duties.

The Head of State will give the tokens of appreciation on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of Boy Scouts Day at the Gajah Mada Square in Cibubur, East Jakarta.

The appreciation will be given among others to National Education Minister Bambang Soedibyo, State Minister for State Enterprises Sofyan A Djalil, and the governors of East Kalimantan, East Java,
Bangka Belitung, and Maluku.

The foreign recipients included Malaysian Youth Affairs Minister Dato Ahmad Shabery bin Cheek, Philippine Boy Scout Secretary General Jose Rizal C Pangilinan, and member of the Asia Pacific Boy Scout Committee Mukura.
