OVER 1,000 VISIT MT RINJANI NATIONAL PARK MONTHLY
Mataram, Indonesia, Aug 18 (ANTARA) - More than 1,000 domestic and foreign tourists visit Mount Rinjani National Park (TNGR) monthly, a TNGR official said.
"Every month, more than one thousand people visit TNGR. Last July, a total of 1,644 foreign tourists and over 200 domestic tourist came to the national park," M Arief Toengkagie, head of TNGR, said here on Tuesday.
This month, up to mid August, some 909 foreign tourists visited the national park, said Toengkagie, who handed over his current position as the TNGR head to Syihabudin, as he was promoted as the Jakarta Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA).
Last year, some 6,500 tourists visited Mount Rinjani National Park, he said.
