Russia, Belarus presidents to discuss complicated issues in Sochi
MINSK, August 27 (Itar-Tass) - Russian and Belarussian presidents
Dmitry Medvedev and Alexander Lukashenko will discuss a broad range of
questions of bilateral cooperation and pressing issues of international
life in Sochi on Thursday, Itar-Tass learnt at the press service of the
Belarussian head of state.
According to the press service, "trade and economic relations,
progress in building the Union State, joint measures to overcome the
negative influence of the world financial and economic crisis, security of
the two countries and concerted actions in the foreign policies are the
most important items on the agenda".
On August 20, Lukashenko said during his working trip to the Vitebsk
Region that he intends to discuss with Medvedev "the entire range of
complicated questions which have not been settled so far".
According to the president, Belarus has problems in relations with
Russia, but this does not mean real deterioration of Belarussian-Russian
relations as such. "Only those who do nothing, have no problems," the
Belarussian head of state noted.
