RF-CPR trade in Jan-June reduces by 37 %-CORR
BEIJING, August 28 (Itar-Tass) -- The volume of Russian-Chinese trade
reduced in the first half of 2009 by 36.9 percent in comparison with the
same period of 2008 and amounted to 16.9 billion US dollars. China's
export to Russia dropped over six months by 48.2 percent and amounted to
7.4 billion dollars, and its import from Russia reduced by 24.1 percent to
9.5 billion dollars.
These figures were given by the Chinese Customs Service before the
beginning of the 12th meeting of the Russian-Chinese sub-commission on
trade and economic cooperation of the Russian-Chinese commission on
preparations of regular meetings of the prime ministers. The Russian
delegation is headed by Minister of Economic Development Elvira
Nabiullina, the Chinese one - - by Minister of Trade Chen Demin.
