Vietnam to purchase Belarussian tanks, spares for military hardware

MINSK, August 31 (Itar-Tass) - Vietnam is actively cooperating with
Belarus in the military field, Vietnamese Ambassador to Belarus Dang Huy
Tran told a news conference here on Monday.
The envoy said Vietnam purchases Belarussian tanks and spare parts for
military transport and radars.
He also noted the stepping up of military cooperation between the two
countries and "an active exchange of visits by military delegations at
various levels."
Belarussain Defense Minister Col-Gen Leonid Maltsev recently visited
Vietnam. He signed an agreement on training Vietnamese officers in Belarus.
The defense ministries of the two countries also concluded an
agreement on training personnel in the field of high technologies.
