.Kazakh president introduces new foreign minister to personnel.

ASTANA, September 4 (Itar-Tass) -- Kanat Saudabayev, 63, has been
appointed the Kazakh Foreign Minister.

President Nursultan Nazarbayev introduced Saudabayev to the ministry
personnel on Friday, the local media said.
Simultaneously, Saudabayev will be the Kazakh State Secretary.
Former foreign minister Marat Tazhin will be the Secretary of the
Kazakh Security Council.
Saudabayev is a graduate of the Leningrad State Institute of Culture
and the Soviet Communist Party Central Committee's Social Sciences
Academy. He is a doctor of philosophy and political sciences and has the
diplomatic rank of an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary.
Saudabayev speaks Russian, English and Turkish.
He used to be the Kazakh ambassador to Turkey, the UK, the United
States and Canada, and headed the Prime Minister's Office in 1999-2000. On
May 15, 2007, he was appointed the State Secretary.
