King and Palestinian President discuss Mideast Peace Efforts

Jeddah, September 07, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques,
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz held here last night a meeting with
Mahmoud Abbas, the Head of the Palestinian National Authority and
Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation
Organization (PLO).

During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments of the
Palestinian problem and the ongoing efforts to realize peace in the
region.

The audience was attended by Prince Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz
and Prince Dr Bandar bin Salman bin Mohammed al-Saud, the King's
advisors, Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of
State, member of the Cabinet and Chief of the Cabinet’s Court, and Dr
Saud al-Mat'hami, the Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet for
Shoura affairs.

On the Palestinian side, the meeting was attended by a number of
senior officials.
