SCO states' courts to step up protection of proprietors' rights.

CHOLPON-ATA, Kyrgyzstan, September 9 (Itar-Tass) - The supreme courts of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will step up the effort to ensure proprietors' rights in conditions of the world financial crisis.

The fourth conference of presidents of the supreme
courts of the SCO member states passed this decision on Wednesday at the
meeting under way in the city of Cholpon-Ata in Kyrgyzstan's Issyk-Kul
region.
As the world financial crisis deepens, many countries come up against
threats to security and stability, president of the Chinese Supreme
People's Court Wang Shengjun said.
According to Vyacheslav Lebedev, the president of Russia's Supreme
Court, the world community is constantly in search of optimum ways of
economic development, also "through institutions of law enforcement." He
feels certain that thanks to the meeting at Cholpon-Ata it will be
possible "to use the SCO potential" towards achieving this goal. "The
level of our interaction will help perfect national institutions of
judicial authorities," Lebedev stressed.
Aside from ensuring proprietors' rights in conditions of the world
financial crisis, also by thwarting raider attacks and loan default, and
ensuring intellectual property rights, the presidents of the supreme
courts of the SCO member states also intend to exchange experience in the
development of the juvenile justice system and protection of minors'
rights.
